SixthSense device →
This is AMAZING, considering the (mostly) disappointing reviews of the new iPad.
Pranav Mistry is a research assistant at MIT Media Lab, and has worked as a UX researcher with Microsoft in the past.
In this video, he demonstrates a new product, call the SixthSense device, which is basically a tiny camera that you can wear. Combined with a blackberry, you can virtually turn anything into an interactive “tablet,” for lack of a better term. The camera tracks your hand movements so that you can open up photos using a wall, project a cell phone keypad onto your hand and make a phone call, and even read a newspaper in which the photo is matched to a video online and then projected as a video back onto the paper.
The technology is pretty amazing!
