The Fine Print Behind Google’s Nexus One →
Unfortunately, it’s not working out very smoothly. As The Times reported yesterday, the online forums are full of people complaining about dropped calls and software glitches.
That’s par for the course–the iPhone had a rough landing, too, as you’ll recall. But this time, the crunch is much more severe, because, incredibly, Google has no telephone help line. You’ve paid $530 for a phone from a company with no phone number to call for help.
You can send e-mail to Google, but so far, customers are waiting between three days and a week before hearing back. That’s not a very impressive turnaround time for a machine you need every single day.
