Your Soundboard: Rejected
Apple just sent a rejection for my new app, which lets you make a personalized and labeled soundboard for these reasons:

Hello William,Your application, Your Soundboard, cannot be posted to the App Store at this time because it violates section 3.3.5 of the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement; “Applications must comply with the Human Interface Guidelines and other Documentation provided by Apple.”Your application duplicates the functionality of the built-in iPhone application Voice Memos without providing sufficient differentiation or added functionality, which will lead to user confusion.Your application records audio and stores the audio files. Its function is identical to Voice Memos. If you believe you can make the necessary modifications to bring your application in compliance with the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement, we encourage you to do so and resubmit it for review.Regards,iPhone Developer Program

Seems ridiculous to me. So no new recording apps allowed?

It seems like it must be a ton of pain to program a full application on not knowing whether it’ll be allowed or not, and that’s something I know that I, as a developer would not motivate me.
