iPhone 101: Clear local Safari storage to resolve... →
thelos: do-nothing: webkitbits: There’s no denying it: locally caching messages in Gmail on the iPhone (via the storage capability in HTML 5, similar to Google Gears) is fun and good for you, especially if you don’t connect to your Gmail via IMAP in the regular iPhone Mail application. Unfortunately, if the local copy of your mail gets funky, things can become difficult and much less fun.

The AT&T Outage: Sabotage vs. Hacking |... →
mudwerks: There has been a lot of buzz this week about hackers, possibly sponsored by the Chinese government, mounting cyber-attacks on the U.S. power grid. Today we learned that there’s more than one way to cripple a utility system, and they aren’t all high tech. This morning, it appears that parties unknown slipped into a manhole in San Jose and cut four fiber optic cables carrying a total of...

Skype for iPhone Sparks Battle Between Consumers... →
shaneguiter: The release of an official Skype application for the iPhone appears to have been controversial for both mobile carriers and consumers. The Voice-Over-IP software allows iPhone users to make phone calls over Wi-Fi to other Skype users or even to regular landline phones. Obviously, such functionality could compete with mobile carrier’s own voice services.
